A career transition program is a positive display of support for exiting employees who are dealing with sudden and unexpected change and also demonstrates the organisation’s proactive human resources policies to the remaining workforce. Our career transition program is specifically designed to work with individuals or small groups.
Our programs are always tailored to meet both the organisation’s and the individual’s circumstances and can include:- Site attendance on the day of redundancy announcements
- Support & briefing for managers who will deliver redundancy announcements
- Workshops focussing on managing change and transition, career management planning and job search strategies (including effective resumes, applications & interview skills development);
- Workbooks, participant hand outs and other value add material;
- Individual career consultations with affected individuals to assist with their career transition (single sessions, multiple session packages and open ended programs are available)
- Comprehensive Career Transition Manual
- Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment and career development report
Our workshop programs can either be delivered on or off site and our individual career transition consultations can be conducted on site or at our Elsternwick or Melbourne CBD locations.
Participants can expect the outcomes of their career transition program to include:
- Assist in enhancing self-awareness through articulation of skills, preferences, values and motivations;
- Reviewing short and longer term career goals;
- Planning action steps to achieve those goals (including resume review and interview skills coaching);
- Developing effective networking strategies to both explore possibilities and secure employment opportunities; and
- Building career resilience through effective change management strategies
